Donna WaksYamuna Body Rolling

A mindful approach to body sustainability

This innovative and therapeutic fitness approach uses special 4-10" inflatable balls and one's own body weight to free restrictions, re-align muscles and bones and recharge the body’s energy system. The result is elongated, supple muscles, optimum range of joint motion, better bone quality, increased circulation and breathing capacity and improvements in overall posture and movement. In addition the focus of the different routines creates greater body awareness as you learn to listen to the messages the body sends. It's like getting a deep tissue massage, a core strengthening workout and neuro-muscular re-education all in one session.  And the real beauty of the work is that you can learn the basics of body rolling--what routines are best for your body--and then practice it on your own at home, when traveling or even at the office.  So if you are pressed for time, money or both , Yamuna body rolling can be an effective way to prevent and address a variety of body problems. In addition to classes and workshops I am offering individual YBR sessions and incorporating the hands on assists with balls into massage table work sessions. YBR balls available for purchase. [back to top]
